Key Disciplines

The discipline of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Northeast Petroleum University was founded in 1961 and originated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University. In 1981, the discipline of Chemical Technology was awarded the first batch of national master’s degree rights. In 2001, the second-level doctoral program in oil and gas field chemical engineering was established. In 2002, the doctoral program was established. In 2005, the chemical technology doctoral program was established, and it was approved as a post-doctoral service station for Chemical Engineering and Technology in 2010, and was approved as a first-level discipline for doctoral authorization in Chemical Engineering and Technology in 2010. In 2017, the fourth round of discipline evaluation results was a B. In 2018, it was listed as a superior characteristic discipline in Heilongjiang Province. In 2019, the Chemical Engineering and Technology major was awarded the first batch of national first-class professional construction sites. In 2020, the post-doctoral service station of the Institute of Applied Technology was awarded the national outstanding post-doctoral scientific research service station. In 2021, the Applied Chemistry major was awarded the first batch of national first-class professional construction sites.

This discipline relies on the construction of a first-level doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology. At the moment, it has established the former Ministry of Petroleum's "Key Laboratory of Light Hydrocarbon Processing and Utilization," the Heilongjiang Province's "Key Laboratory of Petroleum and Natural Gas Chemical Industry," and the "Petroleum and Chemical Technology R&D Center," which is jointly built by Heilongjiang Province and a school-enterprise, as well as the national petroleum and chemical industry's "Key Laboratory of Energy Conversion and Utilization."Petrochemical catalytic technology, oil and gas field chemical engineering, new energy green chemical engineering, and new chemical materials have all emerged as advantageous and distinctive directions.obtain a major breakthrough in the desulfurization control mechanism, overcome the technical difficulties of deep desulfurization of oil products, break through the bottleneck of low-cost oil displacing agent production technology, and contribute to the century-old construction of Daqing Oilfeld; innovatively propose a new theory of solar energy multi-stage coupling utilization and lead the development of high-quality and low-carbon energy; innovate the core technology of antAt present, the faculty of this discipline is strong, including 1 double-employed academician, 1 National Outstanding Youth, 2 special-appointed professors (including 1 overseas high-level talent), 2 experts enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council, and 1 member of the National "Tens of Millions of Talents" Project, 1 member of the "Young Top Talent" from the Organization Department of the Central Committee, 1 National Outstanding Teacher, 2 National Chemical Outstanding Scientific and Technological Workers, 1 Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Youth Award, 4 Longjiang Scholars Distinguished Professors, 1 Longjiang Youth Scholar, 4 Provincial Outstanding Teachers, and 1 Provincial Outstanding Youth ScholarIn the academic team, there are 27 professors, 42 associate professors, 16 lecturers, and 31 doctoral supervisors. In 2019, the first batch of Head Geese teams in Heilongjiang Province was approved: the "Oil Head and Chemical Tail" high-value-added chemical product development team.

It has successively published more than 200 SCI papers in top international journals such as Science, Chem. Soc. Rev., and Chem. Eng. Sci., and has published more than 10 monographs and textbooks, and its engineering disciplines have entered the top 1% of ESI. In the past 5 years, it has undertaken 2 national key research and development projects, more than 10 national fund projects, and more than 20 provincial scientific research projects, including 2 Heilongjiang Provincial Outstanding Youth Science Funds, 7 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, and 71 national authorized invention patents.

The core of this discipline is to improve the quality of talent training, deepen reform and innovation, promote content development, and cultivate high-level talents urgently needed by our country. Among the graduates, Nie Shibang, Zhang Zhonghe, Kang Zhijun, Jiang Guohua, Chen Liguo, Yin Zhaolin, Ji Dewei, Liu Ximin, Zhang Jianguo, Liu Dejia, Wan Zhiqiang, etc., hundreds of outstanding corporate executives of state-owned enterprises, such as deputy general managers and deputy chief engineers, have emerged and been taken as the representives of CNPC, SINOPEC, CNOOC, SINOCHEM, etc.. Many well-known experts and scholars, including Yang Yuanyi, Gao Jinsen, Wang Yanji, Du Jianzhong, Hao Tianzhen, Zhang Zhijun, Hu Xiannian, and others, have made significant contributions to the national energy and chemical industries, as well as local economic and social development.
