The Ministry of Education recently issued the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on the list of National and Provincial First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Sites in 2021.

Three majors of Northeast Petroleum University, namely Social Work, Electronic Science and Technology, and Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation Engineering, have been approved as the 2021 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites.

Five majors, namely Geology, Geochemistry, Construction Environment and Energy Application Engineering, Safety Engineering and Engineering management, have been approved as the provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites in 2021.

So far, our univeristy has 27 provincial and above first-class undergraduate major construction points, including 16 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites.

It is understood that since 2019, the Ministry of Education has fully implemented the " Six Excellence and One Top-Notch" Plan 2.0, and launched the three-year "Double Thousand Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors, which is to promote the construction of new engineering, new medicine, new agriculture and new liberal arts, strengthen first-class undergraduate programs, build first-class majors, train first-class talents, comprehensively revitalize undergraduate education, and improve the talent training ability of colleges and universities. It is an important measure to realize the conformal development of higher education. The main task is to build about 10,000 national first-class undergraduate programs and about 10,000 provincial first-class undergraduate programs from 2019 to 2021.
